Wagrain is known as ideal starting point for countless excursions to the sights of the region. About 60 km northwards from Wagrain the Mozart city Salzburg is situated. Salzburg is world famous for its cultural treasures and historical sights of the picturesque old town.

The world's largest ice cave is situated in high elevation above Werfen and fascinates thousands of visitors in the summer months with its bizarre ice sculptures. Reachable within 30 minutes by car it is possible to explore the cave with experienced guides.
 
 
The Großglockner high alpine road offers its visitors the fascinating mountain world of the highest peak of Austria. With an attitude of 3.798 metres the Großglockner is one of the highest mountains of the Alpes. Additional the wild life park Ferleiten in Fusch and numerous attractions along this famous road are inviting for a day trip.
